NTMA Member List

Government works better, when governments work together. NTMA is a large and growing number of Human Resource Directors working together to make their cities more successful in the training arena  Through the power of cooperation, NTMA has been able to develop and offer exceptional quality training at a very low cost.  A complete list of current NTMA members may be viewed by clicking on the button labeled "job opportunities" at the top of this page.  There you will find the logos of all member cities.  Each logo is a live link that will take you to that particular city's website.

Becoming a Member of NTMA

Membership in NTMA is open to any city, non profit organization, or other public agency. There is a very low cost to join NTMA (only $100 per year for your whole organization).  All you have to do is email Ron@GovernmentResource.com and ask for a member registration formOnce you have filled out the member registration form, your city logo will be added to the NTMA website, and you will be added to our email network list so you will begin to immediately get notification of meetings, training and other opportunities through NTMA.

Membership in NTMA is held by the city or agency, and not by any individual person. Although membership is very inexpensive, being a member of NTMA brings a number of benefits to your city, including:

Deep Discounts on Training Fees-  NTMA members typically pay up to 80% less for training classes than non members do.  Although actual registration fees vary by class, depending upon cost of speakers, etc, a typical training registration fee is $149 for a nonmember and only $79 for an employee of a member agency.

Participation in monthly networking meetings at no cost-  Not only do these monthly networking meetings provide members the chance to be actively involved in shaping and developing NTMA's future course offerings, they also provide the opportunity to hear outstanding speakers on current topics in the HR profession.  Previous presentation topics have included diverse issues such as succession planning, training skills, deferred compensation fiduciary responsibilities, section 125 plan benefits, and many others.  The monthly networking meeting is also a great place to trade information and stay up to date on what your peers are doing on issues such as compensation adjustments and health care cost management and any other topic you find of interest.

Participation in Quarterly HR Roundtables at no cost-  Once per quarter, NTMA hosts an HR Roundtable designed to facilitate meaningful sharing of information about what other cities are doing on a particular topic.  Roundtable topics have included managing health insurance costs, designing effective wellness programs, work life balance programs, compensation adjustments, and others.

NTMA News Scans at no cost-  NTMA subscribes to a number of news clipping services for municipal topics, and forwards HR related news stories on to NTMA members.

Advance Notification of Workshops and Training Opportunities-  Because of outstanding quality, and low cost, there is always a high demand for NTMA courses from both member and non member agencies.  As a result, virtually all NTMA course offerings sell out very quickly.  One of the benefits of your membership in NTMA is advance notification of upcoming training classes and workshops.  As a member, you will typically get a full weeks notice and advance registration opportunity for upcoming classes, before the class is announced to other cities.

Free Job Postings Link to Your Website-  All NTMA members have their logo posted on the NTMA website on a page titled "job opportunities".  Each logo is a direct link to each member city's job posting page or city website, making it easy for prospective employees explore job opportunities with all NTMA cities from one convenient website.

All of the above benefits are included in your membership in NTMA.  For more information, contact Ron Holifield (contact information below) or contact any of the board members listed at the top of this page.
